Uzbekistan has initiated a blockchain pilot for the HUMO token, a digital asset pegged to sovereign bonds and denominated in Uzbekistani Sum (UZS). The project aims to streamline cross-border payments, enhance transactional transparency, and attract foreign investment through regulated tokenization.
Unlike speculative cryptocurrencies, HUMO derives stability from government debt instruments, aligning with Uzbekistan’s legal framework. The pilot represents a strategic MOVE to integrate blockchain efficiency into traditional finance while mitigating volatility risks.
